This was our second time to eat at Jan's. I had a small clam chowder and the two piece fish and chips. Hubs had the prosciutto wrapped scallops and the two piece fish and chips. I also had a classic Caesar, which was very good. The chowder was nice, with plenty of clams and some veggies, but not full of potatoes. The scallops were also very good. Hubs really likes the sauces they come in. Our fish was crispy on the outside and flaky inside. The fries are awesome, but then I really like potatoes! Hubs finished his meal with just one scallop left. I brought home chowder, a piece of fish, and most of the fries (chips). They are open daily now and even serve breakfast. Both times we've been here have been late afternoon when they aren't busy and we've had delicious food and great service. Lots of gluten free options, too.

An absolutely delicious meal and view. The day was perfect and the location by the waterfront was stunning. We had prompt service and one of my favorite four winds beers was on tap so I ordered that immediately along with the yam fries and calamari to start. We had a number of dishes to share and they were all great. Highly recommended.

This place is my awesome little getaway. The food is awesome and and service is bar none. I'm always greated with a smile and Jan is always there to cook her amazing creations personally. 11/10 recommend.

We stopped here on a side trip and it did NOT disappoint! The staff was fabulous from seating, to food to friendliness! There was a great young gentleman who helped to serve us and he was a joy to talk to. Also love when the kitchen is open & the food was so delicious-hope to return soon

Jan's, on the Beach, reponds to Celiac (gluten free) no problem. Jan is an award winner for "Business Person of the Year - Self Owned" category. This distinction is from the "Chamber of Commerce". However, she also won in 2013 as the "New Business of the Year". Jan is a great supporter of the community. Thanks ....

A fun ocean view restaurant with great Gluten Free options. With breakfast served until 14:00 on weekends, this place is perfect for any meal of the day. If you're hungry in White Rock you should eat here.

If you're a local in the White Rock/South Surrey area or a visitor, this is the place to be. The food and atmosphere are great. I would highly recommend going in between busy times in order to get a table. We got to the restaurant at 11:30 am on family day and we were able to be seated right away. Half an hour later, and there was a 45 min wait for others. I got their smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was perfect...fresh, homemade and so good. The food is made in house and they have gluten free options.

We ate the specials that morning for a pre-work day breakfast and half day trip. Lol they were amazing. Fresh ingredients too! Server was so nice and friendly.

Absolutely incredible. Best food I've ever had, incredible atmosphere, and they make you feel like family

The world needs to know about the French fries at Jan's. They are the best. Ever. Their salads are good as well, and their battered fish is gluten free which is hard to find. The outdoor seating is cozy, and has heating which is great during the cooler months. Love it here.

I love Jan's food. It's in a premium location with a good view if you have one of the limited patio or window seats. The food is all handmade including sauces like the mayonnaise. Try the lamb or the fresh seafood. The prices are moderate. There are many gluten free items on the list and they will adjust your meals if you have special dietary restrictions, we can speak from experience on this.

Had a great lunch at Jan's today. The seating outside was perfect and staff were very friendly. Came in right when they opened and the place got packed shortly after. Definitely a sign we picked the right place. Started with the poutine and it was really good! Had the fish and chips with a side Cesar salad and also the pound of muscles. Definitely recommend if you're out and about in White Rock and need a bite to eat.

It was the gluten free and dairy free fish and chips that drew us to Jan's. When my seafood pasta was served, I was a little disappointed regarding the quantity/price, but given the restaurant's location right on the main strip of White Rock, this isn't to be unexpected. And the quality certainly made up for it. My partner was quite pleased with her gf fish and chips. I expect that we will be returning again relatively soon.

Just had the best gluten free fish and chips. So good. Very nice to see a restaurant that has gluten free options clearly marked. A real gem right on the white rock strip!

This restaurant reponds to gluten free and I saw some vegetarian options on the menu, too. Great location with a warm, sunny patio today, with a view. Jan is an award winner, Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year, also with other past awards, Jan is a great supporter of the community. For me, some food "needs more gluten" as John Pinette, the comedian once said .....
